American Classic Tours mission is to provide you with quality, low cost, carefree, fully escorted travel that is exciting, educational, and enjoyable. Service and quality are paramount in our minds when planning the itinerary for each tour.

DEPOSITS: A deposit of $25.00 is required to confirm your reservation on most of our tours.  Telephone reservations will be held for seven days awaiting receipt  of your deposit or payment. Reserved seating at shows/events will be assigned, if possible, according to the date that your deposit is received at our office.
 
PAYMENTS: The initial deposit of $25.00 is your reservation on most of our tours with the balance due 30 days prior to departure.  Payments may be made by mailing your check or money order, payable to American Classic Tours, along with the reservation information to our business address. Upon receipt of the final payment, a detailed information sheet will be mailed to assist you in preparing for the tour approximately 10 - 14  days prior to departure.  When using discounts (T.I.P., Early Bird, Bring A Friend) only one discount per tour. We are now accepting Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards and Discover card.
 
CANCELLATIONS: A full refund of money paid will be given on cancellations made prior to departure of the tour if a replacement is found by you or American Classic Tours. If a cancellation is made four or more weeks prior to departure, the amount paid may be applied as credit towards another American Classic Tour of equal or higher value to be used within one calendar year from the date of departure of the cancelled tour. If a cancellation is made on overnight tours less than four weeks prior to departure, you will forfeit your deposit and any costs incurred by American Classic Tours, with the balance being applied as credit towards another American Classic Tour of equal or higher value to be used within one calendar year from the date of departure of the cancelled tour. If cancellation is made on one day tours less than four weeks prior to departure or you are unable to go on date of tour, you will forfeit all    monies paid. If you must leave the tour after it has begun, refunds for the unused portion of the tour will be made after the tour is completed, based on    actual cost incurred by American Classic Tours.

TOUR ESCORTS: Each tour will have a personal escort for the duration of the tour to assist and conduct the tour.
 
COST OF TOUR GUARANTEE: The costs quoted in this brochure will remain valid until December 31, 2008. The cost varies depending on the occupancy desired. The tour price includes: accommodations, transportation, tour escort, accidental and emergency medical insurance, name and luggage tags, taxes, and gratuities. Some of the tours, as listed, will include in the cost luggage handling, meals, local sight-seeing tour fees, and admission to various attractions. The tour price does not include telephone calls, room service, or other items of a personal nature.
 
ITINERARIES: Each itinerary has been carefully planned to provide you with an educational, enjoyable, and exciting tour. American Classic Tours reserves the right to alter the itinerary if necessary. If this change is feasible, it will be of comparable quality, if not, a partial refund will be given upon the completion of the tour.
 
ACCOMMODATIONS: Modern, quality, hotels will be utilized. The name of the hotels, kinds of services they offer, and their telephone numbers will be stated on the tour information sheet. If you desire a smoking, non-smoking, handicapped, ground floor room, two beds double/queen, or one bed king,  let us know at time of booking. These can not be guaranteed.
 
TRANSPORTATION: Transportation will be made aboard modern, deluxe, climate controlled, 47-55 passenger motor coaches equipped with a restroom, reclining seats, large sight-seeing windows, PA system, AM-FM stereo cassettes, TV monitors, VCR, DVD players, and footrests. Our motor coach drivers are friendly, courteous, experienced, and well qualified. A rest stop will be made approximately every 2 1/2 hours on the longer tours. Snack foods may be brought aboard and eaten on the motor coach. Fresh drinking water will also be available on the motor coach. Other means of transportation (airlines, cruise ships, vans, etc.) may be used depending on the type of tour. Seats are rotated on a regular basis on tours 4 days or longer, if required by escort.
 
LUGGAGE: Each tour member will be limited to one large piece of luggage. One small handbag may be carried by you and will be your responsibility. This handbag may be placed on the overhead rack on the motor coach. Luggage tags will be provided by American Classic Tours. When stated, luggage handling cost will be included in the cost of the tour. American Classic Tours will not assume any liability for damage to or loss of luggage. Other arrangements for luggage will be indicated on the tour information sheet for the airline or cruise tours.

INSURANCE: Accidental and emergency medical insurance (limited coverage) will be included in the cost of the tour. Children less than 18 years of age who are not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian are to have a health/insurance form signed by the parent or legal guardian and returned to us giving American Classic Tours the authority to act in case of an emergency. If you desire you may obtain an optional low-cost trip cancellation and baggage insurance. You will be protected in case something comes up the last minute and you are unable to go or if your luggage is lost or damaged. This insurance is highly recommended by American Classic Tours.
 
FOREIGN TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required for persons traveling outside the United States: a valid passport or visa.  Our office will advise you as to the necessary documents that are required.
 
MEALS: The cost of the meals is the sole responsibility of the tour member. On some tours, the meals will be included in the cost of the tour, as stated in this brochure. Meal arrangements will vary to include fast food restaurants, cafeterias, smorgasbords, steak houses, hotel/motel restaurants, and other similar food establishments.
 
CLOTHING: Casual and comfortable attire is recommended for most tours. If formal dress clothing is necessary, it will be indicated on the tour information sheet.
 
WORSHIP SERVICE: An American Classic Tour Escort will conduct a non-denominational worship service on Sunday for those wishing to attend.
 
SMOKING: Due to the number of frequent stops per day, we respectfully request that there be no smoking aboard the motor coach in consideration of all passengers.
 
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: Alcoholic beverages are not to be consumed aboard the motor coach.
 
ADDRESS CHANGE: Please advise American Classic Tours of any changes in your address in order for us to maintain current records.
 
TOUR CANCELLATIONS: In the event that a tour must be cancelled due to an insufficient number of reservations or other circumstances, American Classic Tours total obligation will be to refund to you all payments made.
 
JOIN US:  If you live out of state or far from Marion, Illinois, you might want to drive or fly to Marion the day before departure, stay overnight in one of our local motels, and then join us at our Marion departure point. We can make recommendations and assist you with your reservations. This would also apply to anyone that would like to stay overnight in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and join us at our Mt. Vernon departure.

RESPONSIBILITY: American Classic Tours acts solely as an agent in arranging for accommodations, transportation, and other services for the duration of the tour and cannot assume any liability for injury to person, damage to or loss of personal property or luggage, and accident or delay due to any arrangements or other services connected with the tour or by the act of default or any hotel/motel servant or proprietor.
 
American Classic Tours may refuse to accept or retain any persons as a member of a tour at any time. Persons not capable of independent travel must be accompanied by a companion who will assume responsibility for assisting this person. The right to cancel any tour prior to departure is reserved, and American Classic Tours will only be responsible to refund in full all payments made by the customer. We may alter the itinerary at any time if circumstances warrant this change.
